Are you bored with the same old shopping malls and restaurants? You could try something different and visit the Hennur Lake Biodiversity Park, breathe in the fresh air and get up close and personal with nature’s beauty.
This mini forest, that spreads over 33 acres which opened just a couple of months back, houses 1827 trees which includes trees like sandalwood, rosewood, ficus, terminalia, arcaranda and mahogany. Over 6000 medicinal plants like Polygonum Chinensis, Costus Specious, Scaevola Taccada and a lot more which are beneficial for fever, cough, skin diseases and indigestion can also be found here.
The two km long walkways for joggers and the two artificial water bodies are the highlights of this park. Built over the Hennur lake, that no longer exists, the park had over 1000 footfalls each day within days of its opening.
With different species of butterflies and birds flocking this park, and miles away from the pollution, this park is a treat for nature-lovers!
