Shubhra Chadda, Chumbak
Shubhra founded Chumbak in 2010 as an idea for creating a range of fun souvenirs for India and Indians. But, this simple thought grew into one of the most loved accessories brands of the country. They retail over 75 categories across 30 plus stores in the country, and we must say, their quirky products are quite a rage!
Neha Behani, Moojic
After a coupled of failed products, Neha Behani co-founded Moojic, an app that revives the old jukebox with a digital touch. Moojic is an innovative in-store radio service for retail stores where a person can choose the song they’d like to be played at a restaurant or a pub with their phone.
Riti M D, RMG Learning
After working for 15 years as a journalist, Riti founded her corporate training firm, RMG Learning. The company offers experiential and game-based courses (they involve solving murder mysteries!) as team building exercises and soft skills workshop activities. Over the years, RMG Learning has grown into a full-fledged corporate training firm, with the mysteries being just one of their flagship programs. They also specialize in destination corporate off-site events.
Sunehra Koshy, Crack Of Dawn Crafts
Sunehra Koshy founded Crack of Dawn Crafts in April 2014 with an aim to craft handmade and one of a kind event supplies. The range of products include invitations, birth announcement boxes, baby shower supplies, baby scrapbooks, albums, message books, money envelopes and more. Today Crack of Dawn Crafts boasts a product range of over 500 designs and a client base of more than 1500 delighted customers.
Aparna Ponnappa, Redd Network
Aparna started Redd Network, a competency building platform in 2010 and provides training, consulting, design, and auditing related services in the field of retail, education, and other industries. She helps industries with high-performance team building, leadership programs, and communication management.
Nishka Naidu, LookSmash
Looksmash maps fashion products from various e-commerce websites to match a shoppers clothing preferences and unique personal style and makes intelligent & relevant recommendations. You can browse for certain looks and purchase them, and if you’re confused, you can even send the look to a friend and ask for their opinion. Nishka plans to launch the personalized fashion product soon.
Pavitra Chalam, CurleyStreet Media
Pavitra, a former journalist and peace ambassador made her directorial debut with ‘Bus’, a movie that made its mark at the Youth Initiative for Peace in Pakistan. She later founded her own production house in Bangalore, CurleyStreet Media and hasn’t looked back ever since. She has won numerous accolades for her work, recent being the Asia Pacific Award for Outstanding New Documentary Talent at the DocWeek Film Festival, 2014 for her feature documentary on Downs Syndrome called Indelible.
Aparna Vedapuri Singh, Women’s Web
Aparna founded Womens Web in 2010 with an aim build an online community for women all over the world. It was her belief that women were more interested in the world around them than conventional magazines gave them credit for. Over the years it has grown into a reputed online media company that invites women to share real stories, and be empowered by other women online as well as in the real world over creative event formats.
Anusha A Chowdaiah, L’inou
After having the first sip of a delicious hot chocolate in Belgium, Anusha decided to bring the premium chocolate tradition to the country and launched her brand, L’inou, in August 2014. They have a wide range of handcrafted chocolates, pastries, hot and cold chocolates, pralines, and more. They also offer a variety of macarons, signature truffles, and hot chocolate sticks.
Lakshmi Anantnarayan, Story Garage
Lakshmi Anantnarayan is the Founder of Story Garage. She forges partnerships with civil society groups, organizations, and researchers, to identify communication needs that can be effectively addressed by their audio-visual team. Lakshmi works closely with NGO partners to understand issues, identify audiences, and key advocacy targets. Following which, she collaborates with the A/V team on the production of an appropriate communications strategy.
Savitha Reddy, Language Station
