However, it has been a while since, and the current musical scenario cannot quite be described using the term exciting. That’s what makes it the best time to be a young budding musician, particularly a vocalist from Delhi!

Her tryst with music began before she crossed her teens as she moved around the country performing with Euphoria as a backup vocalist. Thereafter she did not look back, taking giant strides in her musical journey. Raw and exceptionally distinct, her voice has a sense of warmth in it making it the perfect companion for rainy afternoons. She says, Every voice is distinct, it embodies a persona. I believe that a voice has the ability to create poetry through it. She shot to fame after being placed in the top 6 of the Indian English music reality show The Stage. She is slated to perform at the NH7 Weekender in Shillong, with her band River.

Although his primary focus is inclined towards songwriting, he says It was only natural for me to find myself making folk music, since the only thing working for me are the words that I write and the way they sound when they are sung. He describes his music as quiet, organic folk music.

A multitalented artist with a variety of abilities which include songwriting, playing the keyboard, and producing, to name a few. Her favorite genre happens to be electronic/ambient music. Her future plan is to push the electronic project forward in India. With the mercurial success of Komorebi, she has been somewhat assured. Imogen heap, AIR and Zero7 feature among her favorites.
Special Mention: She garnered a lot of attention for her album Komorebi, which also happened to be her debut EP. She is playfully quaint in her approach, which reflects in the stylized artwork to the title of the album.
This student of architecture started singing professionally at 16. Since then, her collaborations have included Shubha Mudgal, Parikrama, and The Vienna Boys from Austria, to name a few. She is now looking to combine music with experimental spatial experiences, thereby further enhancing her artistry.
Special mention: Her first solo album- Mumblings on the impressioned interactions with four charming monsieurs in the life of Ditty. Sounds quirky, but fun!
His melodious voice merits his entry to this list. This assistant manager of Indian Overseas Bank is relatively unknown and a newcomer in this sphere, but he does show a lot of promise.

A singer/songwriter influenced by a range of artists which include The Beatles, Lana Del Ray, Ed Sheeran to name a few, his style is simple yet melodic. The mellow sound of his guitar serves as the perfect backdrop for his vocals. His facebook page lists Liar and the Saint, Rasper Towne among his ongoing projects.
Special Mention: Close your eyes and listen to Spring without a Zephyr. It is sure to invoke a sense of nostalgia.
Trained in Hindustani Classical, she teamed up with Anindo Bose to form a deadly combination. Boses use of keyboards and drum grooves combined with Charis melodious voice, deliver an artistic masterpiece. Her other credits include House of Symphony and Music Basti.
