Major Issue Facing Gorai Beach:

Mumbai is expanding owing to rapid urbanisation and development, and that is affecting the open spaces and green cover which is in turn making the rainfall erratic and unpredictable. All this is ultimately leading to an increase in the land temperatures as well the sea surface temperature. This entire cycle is resulting in the rise of the sea level of Mumbai coast (majorly around the Gorai area) and that is leading to a drop in the numbers of the annual fish catch majorly disturbing the lives of the fishermen in Gorai.
