Masala Bar, Carter Road

Masala Bar has given Bandra a sea-facing Cocktail and tapas bar. But since its a bar, it only operates  in the evenings and has a  laboratory-type set up for the resident mixologists. Masala Bar has replaced  Costa Coffee on carter road, which means patrons can now sip on cocktails while enjoying Mumbais sunsets.

NRI (Not Really Indian), BKC

A ‘global desi food’ joint by Atul Kocchar, a guy who has been invited to cook for Prince Charles at St James Palace, London. Yes, you can now eat food which could have been eaten by a prince, at this authentic global desi food inspired by India-themed restaurant newly open in BKC. Their Asian dishes are a must try.

Captains Table, BKC

With a luxury cruise liner set up, Captains Table definitely sets the ambience for tasteful elegance. Their menu is both elaborate and extensive with fresh seafood being served on a platter, literally. Seafood enthusiasts can look forward to regional and global preparations such as Goan prawn curry, Spanish seafood stew, tandoori lobster, fennel and crab ravioli and Malvani fish.

Mighty Small, Lower Parel

The owners of Bonobo, Jamjar Diner and Caf Nemo are opening up a carnival- themed caf called Mighty Small in association with smaaash in Lower Parel. For appealing to the youthful crowd, the caf will have a dessert bar called The Big Fat Treat as well as a sangria bar for the grown-ups escorting the young ones. Their menu includes Cajun fish and chips, crispy calamari, chipotle rice, double appam and curry, churros, waffle sticks, peanut butter brownie, Nutella and Ferrero Rocher cake, M&M cake, meringues, cookie monster sundae.

BAD caf, Bandra

Divided into three levels that represent the Soul (cafe area), the Body (yoga and meditation studio), and Mind (library and community spot), the space merges complexity of thought with simple minimalism, almost naturally. The newly opened BAD caf stands in the leafy by-lanes of Bandra, scrupulously clad with 25,992 recycled with PVC electrical pipes, this chic black and white structure is in complete harmony with the mix of heritage homes in the neighbourhood.

AKA, Worli

Situated near Nehru Planetarium in Worli, AKA has an outdoor dining with a long bar, quirky sofa prints and bright interiors which give the restaurant a very soothing aura. Their cappuccino of Wild Mushroom, Smoked Duck Breast Caesar salad, Char Glied prawns, Salted Caramel Tart, Warm Chocolate fondant, Rose Petal, Mango and Lime sorbet are some of the few reasons you must visit this place.

True Tramm Trunk, Andheri West
