In a city like Mumbai where you can step into malls in every other neighbourhood area, Pheonix Marketcity stands out because of its gigantic space and vivid range of brands and outlets. The mall, located in Kurla, is the biggest in India in terms of area and also your best bet to find all that you could be looking for under one roof. If you still havent visited the mall, this list will tell you exactly everything that youre missing out on.

How to Reach


10:00 AM to 10: 30 PM every day however PVR Cinemas is open till longer depending on the show timings and days (especially on weekends).

The nearest station to the mall is Kurla which is common to both, Central and Harbour line and therefore commuters can de-board at this station and hire an auto towards the mall which would cost Rs. 50 one way. People traveling by western line can either change trains at Dadar to take a connecting train towards Kurla otherwise another convenient option could be to board the metro from Versova and get down at Ghatkopar; then head to Kurla.

Phoenix Marketcity is also accessible by road via the SCLR which connects to the LBS Marg.


The mall, which opened in December 2010, houses over 750 stores and sees a footfall of over 55,000 per day. The mall was developed by the same company that erected the High Street Phoenix Mall in Lower Parel and Phoenix Marketcity in Bangalore and Pune.

Phoenix Market City houses nearly 80 restaurants with 10 of them being top list pubs. The mall also has the largest PVR cinema in the city with 14 screens.

Brand diggers would be delighted to know that the mall houses some world-famous brands among many mid-rung Indian brands. So, while the brand-conscious head to Calvin Klein, Clarks, Esbeda, Loreal, Lavie, Swatch, Zara, Gant, Diesel, Nautica and French Connection, the budget shopper can happily hop around the likes of Biba, Max, Mochi, Reliance Trends, Van Heusen and Jack & Jones.

One store unique to the mall is Swarovski, which houses the world-renowned Swarovski crystals.

Things to Do

The mall also offers an array of entertainment options, from Happy Planet to the 16-lane Amoeba  bowling  alley to What-The-Fun Lasertag. The mall has a famous Snow World which is a hit among Mumbai residents because of the play zone and the area that it is.

Snow World

No article about Phoenix Market City can be complete without the mention of Snow World, the only one of its kind in Mumbai. The frigid playzone is open from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and visitors can indulge in activities like ice sliding, snow sledging, ice skating and snowboarding. The entry fee at Snow World is Rs. 573 per person for an hour-long session, and it includes all the activities mentioned above besides a complimentary tour of key attractions which includes the Scenic Mountain, Snow Tunnel, Igloos, Roman Culture wall, Wooden Hut, & many more.
